Gordon Keeter Merges with Deanna Ford to Become Gordon Keeter + Ford CPAs
Effective November 1, 2023, Gordon Keeter & Co. has merged with DeAnna Ford, CPA PA and changed our name to Gordon Keeter & Ford CPAs PA. We are also excited to share our new logo and hope it will become immediately recognizable, as a symbol of the quality, expertise, and professionalism we have always had as the foundation of our firm. With the merger, our goal is to enhance these traits and bring a higher level of service to our clients.
A benefit, for many of our clients, will be the addition of a second office. We will not be consolidating offices or moving. We will be maintaining both offices and coordinating schedules so that all services can be realized in person, in both locations. Our scheduled regular office hours will be Monday–Thursday 8:30am–5:00pm and Friday will be 8:30am–1:00pm. As always, we will have expanded hours during tax season and will be available outside of normal business hours for scheduled appointments.

Our Firm has evolved since its formation by Irvin Newberry and Steve Cathey in 1992 under the name of Newberry, Cathey & Co. In 2005, the Firm name was changed to Newberry, Gordon & Shuford PA. In 2010, we moved to our current location and changed our name to Gordon, Keeter & Co. The evolution of our Firm over the past 31 years has included various changes in our ownership group which has not always been reflected in the name of the firm. Gordon, Keeter & Co. currently has four owners: David Gordon, Ladoska Keeter, Michele Nichols, and Heather Richter.
DeAnna Ford, CPA PA was formed in 2015, primarily as a bookkeeping, consulting, and contract CFO firm. Through the years she has grown and expanded her services to add tax and consulting services. DeAnna is the sole owner of her firm.
The merger of our two firms has been a very strategic decision to utilize the talents of the 23 employees of the combined firm to make us stronger and better able to serve your needs. The ownership group of Gordon Keeter & Ford will be comprised of all the owners of the two merging firms. Including the five owners, we will have a total of eight CPAs, one IRS enrolled agent, eight bookkeepers, one data specialist, and five administrative staff. Contact us if you have questions.
